Sending samples is a great way to engage prospects and move them further down your sales pipeline. Oversee makes it easy to create sample orders, add products, and send them out. Before proceeding, make sure your Shopify integration is properly set up, as this provides product and inventory details for sample orders. To set up these integrations, follow these guides:
Step 1: Navigate to the Prospects Pipeline
To begin, you can just access your prospects by clicking on the Pipeline tab on the left-hand navigation menu. This will take you to the pipeline view, where you can see all stages of your sales process.
Step 2: Locate the Prospect
Find the prospect for whom you would like to send a sample. Prospects are organized by the stage of your sales pipeline, such as "Initial Interest," "Sample Sent," or "Negotiating." Click on the prospect to open their details.
Step 3: Start the Send Sample Process
Within the prospect's details, click on the Send Sample button to start the process of sending a sample order to the selected prospect.
Step 4: Enter Product and Order Details
A form will appear where you can enter the sample order details. Add the products you wish to send, the quantities, and any discount codes if applicable. Fill out the recipient's information, including their shipping address and contact details.
Note: You can save this as your default sample order.
Step 5: Review and Confirm the Sample Order
After filling out all the required information, click on Review Order to ensure all details are correct. This includes checking the items, quantities, and shipping address.
Step 6: Confirm the Order
Once you're ready to finalize the order, click the Confirm button to officially send the sample to the prospect.
Important: Confirming the sample order will create a Shopify order if your account is integrated with Shopify. This order will be tracked and managed like any other Shopify order.
Step 7: Track the Sample Order in Your Pipeline
After confirming the order, you can track its progress in the prospect's pipeline stage. The status will be updated to reflect that a sample has been sent. You can monitor the next steps to continue nurturing this prospect.
Note: If you're offering the sample for free or at a discounted price, you can apply a discount by entering a code or setting a discount rate. The total order amount will be adjusted accordingly.
