Why would I want to do this?
With this integration, you can have use our Customers features to view all your wholesale customers, group them using tags, send email announcements, have their store info & contact info be automatically enriched using Oversee's data pool, and view sales analytics.
While you can have all of these features with CSV uploads, many brands find it helpful rather than constantly having to upload order files.
1. (Optional, but helpful) Integrate Faire with Shopify
Integrating Faire with Shopify centralizes your order history. If you sync your Shopify account with Oversee, and have a Faire integration on that Shopify account, that allows us to real-time sync order data from both platforms onto Oversee simultaneously. Otherwise, you’ll need to upload Faire order CSVs separately. Email [email protected] if you have any questions.
Follow this guide to integrate Faire with Shopify
Once you finish the integration, the orders start syncing from that point forward.
Please contact us if you want to backfill your Faire orders prior to the integration between Faire & Shopify was set up.
2. Go to Settings page and click "Orders"
3. Click Integrate Shopify
4. Type in your myShopify domain
When you see this page after clicking the "Integrate with Shopify" button, type in your myShopify domain in the text field.
it should be formatted as
example.myshopify.com
it should not contain any trailing slashes (
/
) at the end
5. Complete the remaining steps & app installation when auto-directed to Shopify.
If you are not the admin of your Shopify account, you may not be able to complete this step. Please make sure one of the team members who have full access to the Shopify account to go through this process.
You will be auto-directed to your myShopify page with the Oversee app installation instructions.
Install the app, and you will be directed back to Oversee.
6. Auto-redirect to Oversee
You should see the green check icon with a message saying your Shopify integration is successful. It will take ~4 hours to fully sync the data.
Troubleshooting guide
Integrate with Shopify button is disabled. Why is this?
Most likely, your brand might not yet be on our paid subscription. If you start the free trial period, Shopify integration button will be enabled.
Why am I seeing all of my retail customers?
You may need to modify your Shopify Sync settings. We will look at the note & tag attributes of your Shopify orders, so it is likely that if a retail customer purchased a product that is supposed to be wholesale only, then they might be included as wholesale customer.
