How to Create a New Prospect in Oversee

A guide to adding new prospects to your sales pipeline through two simple methods: directly through the Prospect pipeline or by converting a lead from a campaign.

Prospects in Oversee represent potential customers who have shown interest in your products. When a lead replies to one of your email campaigns, they are automatically added as a prospect in your sales pipeline. You can add a prospect either by creating one manually from the Prospects tab or by converting a lead from a campaign.


Method 1: Adding a Prospect Manually

Step 1: Navigate to the Prospects Tab

From your Oversee dashboard, select the Pipeline tab on the left-hand side. This will open your sales pipeline, where you can view all current prospects at different stages of the sales process.

Step 2: Click "Add Prospect"

In the Prospects view, click on the + Add Prospect button located at the top-right of the page.

Step 3: Fill Out Prospect Details

A form will appear where you can enter information about your new prospect, such as their business name, contact details, email, phone number, pipeline stage, and any additional notes. Once all fields are filled out, click the Add button to save the prospect to your pipeline.

Step 4: View the Newly Added Prospect

After adding the prospect, you will see them appear under the appropriate pipeline stage (e.g., "Initial Interest") based on the details you entered in the form.


Method 2: Converting a Lead to a Prospect

Step 1: Navigate to the Leads Tab

To convert a lead into a prospect, go to the Leads tab on the left-hand menu. This will show all your active lead campaigns.

Step 2: Select the Campaign

Choose the lead campaign containing the contact you wish to convert into a prospect. Make sure that it is an Active campaign. Click on the campaign name to open it.

Step 3: Access the Contacts Section

Once inside the campaign, go to the Contacts tab. Here, you'll see a list of all the lead contacts associated with that specific campaign.

Step 4: Create Prospect from a Contact

Find the lead contact you wish to convert and click on the three-dot action menu beside their name. Select Create prospect from contact from the dropdown menu to initiate the conversion.

Step 5: View the New Prospect in Your Pipeline

The lead will be immediately added as a prospect in your sales pipeline. Go back to the Prospects tab to view the new prospect under the appropriate pipeline stage.
