How to find lookalikes of your customers

One of Oversee’s most powerful features is its ability to help you grow your business by finding stores that are similar to your existing customers.

Finding lookalike businesses can help expand your reach and target similar prospects more effectively. With Oversee, you can quickly identify businesses that share characteristics with your existing customers or leads. Below are the steps to use the Lookalike search tool.

When should I use this search?

This search is ideal for brands that have a more specific set of requirements for evaluating businesses to reach out to.


Step 1: Navigate to the Search Tab

From your Oversee dashboard, click on the "Search" tab located in the left-hand navigation menu. This is where you can access various search features, including the Lookalike search.

Step 2: Select "Lookalike" from the Search Options

Once in the Search tab, locate the search type dropdown to choose "Lookalike." You’ll see several search options, such as AI Search and Business Website. Select the "Lookalike" option to start finding businesses that are similar to your existing leads or customers.

Step 3: Choose Your Search Criteria

You can search for lookalikes based on multiple criteria:

  • Websites: Enter the website of a current customer or business you want to find similar leads for.

  • Lead Campaigns: Alternatively, you can choose one of your lead campaigns to find lookalike businesses based on the contacts within that campaign.

After selecting the search type and entering your criteria, click "Search" to find your lookalike businesses.

You can add additional filters (e.g. location, job title, etc.) to the search.

Step 4: Review and Filter the Results

Oversee will display a list of businesses and contacts similar to the criteria you provided. You can further refine your search by using filters such as location, email type, job titles, and more to ensure you're finding the most relevant leads.


By following these steps, you can easily expand your list of potential customers by finding lookalike businesses that closely resemble your current leads or customers.
