Follow-ups in Oversee allow you to send automatic, personalized follow-up emails to your leads based on their behavior and engagement with your previous email. This feature ensures that your leads are consistently nurtured without the need for manual intervention. This guide will walk you through how to add, configure, and manage follow-ups in your lead campaigns.

For drafting your initial email steps for a lead campaign, please refer to this guide.

Adding a Follow-Up

To add a follow-up email to your campaign:

  1. Navigate to the Campaign's Email Steps: In the campaign, go to the Email Steps tab, where you draft and manage your email sequences.

  2. Add a Follow-Up Step: Under the initial outreach email, click + Add Follow-up. A new follow-up card will appear below the initial email.

  3. Draft and Schedule the Follow-Up: You can draft your follow-up message in the editor and set parameters for when it should be sent. For example, choose the number of days after the previous email and the condition to trigger the follow-up (e.g., "Delivered and not replied to").

Configuring Follow-Up Triggers

Follow-ups can be sent based on various triggers to ensure they’re timed effectively. In the follow-up card, you'll find options like:

  • "Delivered and not replied to": The follow-up is sent only if the email was delivered but no reply was received.

  • "Opened and not replied to": If the lead opens the email but doesn't respond, this trigger will send the follow-up.

  • "Link clicked and not replied to": If a link within the email is clicked but the lead hasn't responded, a follow-up can be automatically triggered.

Each follow-up can be customized based on the condition and timing that best suits your campaign needs.

Managing and Editing Follow-Ups

Once you’ve added a follow-up, you can adjust its content and parameters at any time:

  • Use the Email Steps tab to review all follow-ups associated with a lead campaign.

  • Edit the timing, conditions, or content as needed to ensure your messaging is aligned and effective.

  • Remember to Save changes once you’ve edited the sequence.

By effectively setting up and managing follow-ups, you’ll increase the chances of re-engaging leads who may have missed your initial message or need a little more nurturing to respond.
