Having trouble connecting your email to Oversee? We’ve got you covered! This guide will walk you through some common troubleshooting steps, especially for issues related to Google and GoDaddy email integrations. Follow these steps to get back on track with minimal hassle.

Issue 1: Google Account Can’t Connect with Oversee

If you're able to start the Google authorization but it fails when connecting through Oversee, you may need to unlink Oversee from your Google account and reauthorize. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you with this.

How to Unlink Oversee from Your Google Account

  1. Visit Google Account Connections: Open this Google connections page.

  2. Find Oversee: Scroll down to the list of connected apps and look for Oversee.

  3. View Details: Click on See Details under the Oversee listing to get more options.

  4. Remove Access: Select Remove Access to unlink Oversee from your Google account.

Once you’ve removed Oversee, you can try reconnecting your email. This fresh start often resolves any lingering connection issues!

Issue 2: GoDaddy Outlook Email Can’t Integrate with Oversee

If you’re using an Outlook email address through GoDaddy and can’t integrate it with Oversee, it might be due to your DNS settings. GoDaddy sometimes needs extra configuration to ensure Outlook emails route correctly.

Updating GoDaddy DNS Settings for Outlook Integration

  1. Log in to GoDaddy: Go to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio and select the domain you’re using for your Outlook email.

  2. Add MX Record: Look for the option to add a new DNS record, and enter the following details:

Host

Priority

Target

@

0

[yourdomain]-com.mail.protection.outlook.com

  1. Add TXT Record: While still in the DNS settings, add a TXT record with the following details:

Name

TXT Value

@

v=spf1 include.net -all

  1. Save Changes: After entering these records, save your changes and allow some time for them to propagate.

  2. Verify DNS Propagation: Use this DNS checker to confirm the records have been updated. Enter your domain, and look for the MX and TXT records to ensure they’re set up correctly.

Once your DNS settings have been updated and verified, try reconnecting your Outlook email with Oversee.
